Our donors invest in programs that provide access to educational excellence. Many of our more than 220,000 alumni are engaged with Mason, eager to mentor their fellow Patriots. And the involvement of the greater community amplifies Mason’s stature as the educational, economic, and cultural hub of the region.

Today’s college graduates must confront interlocking existential threats: the climate emergency, public health, an economic sea change, and a society grappling with inequality and threats to the democratic process. For our graduates, rescuing our future to ensure a healthy planet, healthy people, healthy economies, and healthy societies will be the central organizing cause of the rest of their lives. It is our job to conduct research to find solutions to our overlapping grand challenges—and to educate students to solve them.
